Mark has been in the dental profession for over a 20 years, being involved in management every step of the way, helping re-brand practices and marketing to everyday management, he has a true passion for this so when the opportunity to own and manage his own dental practice arose, he welcomed the challenge ahead, since starting his first practice from scratch in Driffield Mark has gone on to own two further sites in York and Knaresborough helping spread family dentistry across Yorkshire. Mark enjoys mountain bike riding and racing his beloved Mini nicknamed “The Bear” along with spending time with his wife and children. Mark is a big sports fan, following Leeds Utd, Kansas City Chiefs and all things Formula one.

Tom

Dr Tom Stapleton

Originally from Leicester, Toms background is in research. This resulted in him achieving a PhD in tissue engineering before gaining his dental qualification at Leeds University. He joined the Purely Dental team in 2019, where he has committed to providing general dentistry with honesty, quality and value.

As well as being a certified Invisalign provider, Tom has also undertaken further advanced restorative training to help provide the smile you deserve. This included completing an advanced certificate in restorative dentistry under the tutor-age of Dominic Hassall as well as completing certification in digital smile design, Smilefast and Bioclear composite bonding systems.

Tom has a natural enthusiasm for endodontics (root canal treatment) and has gone on to take further training in endodontics through the highly regarded Simplyendo training academy. He has since been awarded a diploma with merit and accepts external referrals.

Tom is a member of the British Endodontic Society and also an Associate fellow at the College of General Dentistry.

Tom’s main interest is digital dentistry, continually looking at new techniques to improve the ease and comfort in which treatment is provided.

Outside of dentistry, Tom is a husband and father of two beautiful girls and he enjoys taking walks in the local Yorkshire countryside.

Sarah Williams

Sarah Williams

Sarah graduated from Newcastle University in 2003, receiving the North-East vocational trainee prize for research. She has since worked as a dentist for almost twenty years, gaining wide-ranging experience in providing high quality treatment and patient care.

Sarah is passionate about providing dentistry that is cosmetic, comfortable and functional, and has completed training in advanced restorative dentistry with the highly regarded Paul Tipton. She is also an Invisalign provider, and has an interest in minimally-invasive dentistry, such as composite bonding.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, reading, going to the theatre, and creative writing.

Gill

Gill Cliffe

Gill has worked in dentistry since 1985 and more specifically as a Dental Hygienist since 1999. She has gained her vast clinical experience from working in hospital, NHS, independent, hospital, Community, orthodontics and oncology.

Gill is a passionate clinician focused on delivering health-focused patient care and adopting a holistic approach. She is the current N.E. Regional Representative for the British Society of Dental Hygienists and is married with a teenage daughter.

Sara Kinnon

Sara is our practice manager, she has over 20yrs of experience in private dentistry, she has also Completed a Leadership and Management course with ‘UMD Professions’.

Sara is very passionate about patient care and as our reception manager she will oversee that every patient has an exceptional experience whilst here at Purely Dental.

In Sara’s spare time she enjoys working and training her springer spaniels and regularly completes in field trials.

Hope Clark

Hope is a kind and enthusiastic dental nurse who loves meeting new patients each day. Hope began her training in 2018 at Leeds Dental Institute and qualified in May 2020.

Hope is First Aid and Mental Health First Aid trained and particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry & orthodontics. You’ll also see Hope over on our social media platforms as social media manager.

In her free time, Hope enjoys photography, blogging and spending time with her family.

Pollyann Wright

Polly joined Crystal Clear in October 2018, after working as a nursery nurse for a few years she decided she wanted a new challenge. Polly very much enjoys being a trainee dental nurse, she has embraced learning new skills along with completing all course work that is set for her week by week. Polly particularly likes talking with patients to make them feel happy and relaxed whilst they’re in our care.

Polly loves going out with her boyfriend and dog Jake for a day of exploring come rain or shine. And when Polly isn’t out on an adventure she likes nothing better than watching a good movie or challenging people on the XBox.

Eve Joined us in June 2022 as a trainee dental nurse and is really enjoying learning new skills and working with patients. Eve has a caring manner and puts patients at ease.

Outside of work, Eve enjoys spending time with her family and going to the cinema.

Hannah, who joined us here at Purely in 2023, is a real asset to our team, she previously worked as a care worker in a Leeds teaching hospital and decided to change her career and move on to dental nursing.

Hannah loves how everyday is different and finds all aspects of nursing really interesting and hopes to develop her knowledge and skills more and more each day, she can’t wait to qualify as a dental nurse.

In Hannah’s spare time she enjoys working with her dog, baking, going to the gym and spending time with her friends and family.
